Lorenzo Sillari
PostDoc, University of Parma, Italy
I am currently a PostDoc at the University of Parma, Italy, since November 2024.
My research is in complex differential geometry. In particular, I am interested in complex and almost complex structures, SU(m)-structures, special metrics, and spaces of harmonic forms.
Here you find an updated list of my papers and preprints, while here there is a list of talks I gave and conferences or schools I attended.
I obtained a PhD in Geometry and Mathematical Physics at SISSA, Trieste, Italy, in October 2024, under the supervision of Prof. Adriano Tomassini. The title of my PhD thesis is "Invariant of almost complex and almost symplectic manifolds". You can find the full text here.
Before my PhD, I completed both my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees at the University of Parma, under the supervision of Prof. Adriano Tomassini.
There, I discussed my Master's Thesis with title "Dolbeault Cohomology of Almost Complex Manifolds" in July 2020.
During my Bachelor, I spent one year abroad at the University of Granada.
I held institutional positions as Student's Representative at SISSA and as Tutor for International Students at the University of Parma.
In Fall 2023 I thaught a Reparatory Course for first year students in Mathematics and IADA at the Univeristy of Trieste.
In Spring 2019 and 2020 I held tutoring sessions for the course "Geometry 1B" for first year students in Mathematics at the University of Parma.
I was co-organizer of the Junior Geometry and Mathematical Physics Seminars for the years 2023 and 2024 and of the event Junior Math Days for the years 2022 and 2023.
You can find more details in my CV.
